GT40P#1040 is one of only six 1966 MKI production racing coupes specifically modified by the Ford Advanced Vehicles, Ltd. factory for long distance racing. Sold to Scuderia Filipinetti of Switzerland and delivered on February 28, 1966. #1040 competed in several major international events: 1966 & 1967 LeMans trials, 1966 & 1967 Monza 1000KM and the 1966 24 Hours of LeMans.
